The Campitos mine outside Cananea, Sonora, Mexico has been in operation since the 1980’s. Beautiful Campitos turquoise is famous around the world, known for its brilliant blue color and is often compared to Sleeping Beauty’s soft yet intense blue. It can range from shades of light or medium blue to a vibrant blue green. Turquoise from this mine often contains pyrite, which give Campitos turquoise an extra luster and shine.
Each stone and gemstone is unique, each piece of jewelry created is also.
Natural Stones are not perfect. They may have surface or internal characteristics and color variations. I do my best to take accurate photos to show exactly what you will receive. Colors will vary slightly from one computer monitor to another.
*NOTE: Wire weaving and wrapping is a genre of jewelry that requires pliable wire to be shaped into each piece. As a piece progresses, the wire hardens and sometimes it is hammered to further strengthen a piece. It will retain it’s shape, however if you try to bend it or it gets squished, it will bend. Do not place your wire woven or wrapped jewelry in a purse or pocket.
