No gemstone is more creatively colored by nature than the Agate. Each individual Agate form by minerals filling a cavity in a host rock. As a result, Agate is often found as a round nodule, with concentric bands like the rings of a tree trunk. The bands in Agate sometimes may look like eyes, scallops, leaves, mazes and even landscapes.
In ancient times Agate was believed to bring healing and good luck, in general enabling the wearer to choose between true and false friends. Also thought to help the bearer avert storms and lightning, protection from danger.
Each stone and gemstone is unique, each piece of jewelry created is also.
Natural Stones are not perfect. They may have surface or internal characteristics and color variations. I do my best to take accurate photos to show exactly what you will receive. Colors will vary slightly from one computer monitor to another.
*NOTE: Wire weaving and wrapping is a genre of jewelry that requires pliable wire to be shaped into each piece. As a piece progresses, the wire hardens and sometimes it is hammered to further strengthen a piece. It will retain it’s shape, however if you try to bend it or it gets squished, it will bend. Do not place your wire woven or wrapped jewelry in a purse or pocket.
